Alex Hirsch

Alex Hirsch is an American animator, writer, and voice actor who is best known for creating the animated television series "Gravity Falls." Born in Piedmont, California in 1985, Hirsch developed a love for animation and storytelling at a young age.

After graduating from the California Institute of the Arts in 2007, Hirsch began his career in animation as a writer and storyboard artist for the Cartoon Network series "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack." He went on to work as a writer and storyboard artist for several other popular animated series, including "Fish Hooks" and "Adventure Time."

In 2012, Hirsch created and developed his own animated series, "Gravity Falls," which premiered on the Disney Channel in 2012. The series follows the adventures of twin siblings, Dipper and Mabel Pines, as they spend the summer with their great-uncle Stan in the mysterious town of Gravity Falls, Oregon.
